( Phoenix, AZ ) Western writer Pam Houston has written a new novel, "Sight Hound," about a wise Irish Wolfhound who teaches his owner about love and trust. Pam Houston uses Western landscapes such as the Colorado Plateau as backdrops for her essays, short stories—and now, her first novel. She spoke with KJZZ’s Abigail Beshkin about writing on the outdoors, and whether to call her work "chick lit."
