( Phoenix )Congressman Jeff Flake is running for his third term representing the East Valley's Sixth District. He's being challenged in the September 7th primary by former state legislator Stan Barnes. Flake and Barnes share similar lifestyles and viewpoints on a lot of issues, but the two differ on what the principal role of a Congressman should be. KJZZ's Steve Goldstein reports.

( Athens, Greece )The games of the 28th Olympiad draw to a close Sunday in Athens. Arizona sent scores of athletes to compete in Greece, but many more went to work the games. John James, a Valley resident, is a senior video colorist for NBC TV. Recently, while in Greece, his skills as a colorist were recognized, which led to his being asked to cover the closing ceremonies for NBC. He sent this audio postcard of his time in Athens.

The Rise of Nintendo Rock
( Phoenix, AZ )The average video game player these days is 29 years old, according to the Entertainment Software Association. They are mostly men, who grew up on Atari and Nintendo in the 1980s. Now they play X-Box or Playstation 2. While they may have outgrown their Nintendo games, KJZZ's Rene Gutel reports that at least one Phoenix rock band is reluctant to leave that Nintendo world behind.

New Books for a New School Year
( Phoenix )While students were enjoying some time away from what becomes a sleepy campus in the summertime, a significant donation of books about Judaism had librarians at ASU scrambling. The books are rare and almost all of them are out of print. They make up the Zipperstein Collection, among the largest single-topic donations in the school's history. As KJZZ's Rene Gutel reports, A-S-U, long know for sports and parties, may become a mandatory stop for students studying Judaism.
