Employer Matching Gifts
Make your contribution go twice as far!
Does my employer match my gifts?
What are matching gifts?
Many KJZZ listeners aren’t aware that their employers may include a matching gift program in their benefits package. Programs vary from business to business, but they generally offer a dollar-for-dollar match when an employee makes a personal gift to a non-profit organization like KJZZ.
If you’re considering becoming a member, it’s worth finding out if the place you work at will match what you donate to KJZZ—meaning your gift of $10 a month could become $20 a month!
How do I find out if my employer will match my gift to KJZZ?
In the search box to the right, type your company’s name in and hit “search” to look up their name in a database that will let you know if there’s a matching gifts program that you can take advantage of. If your employer does match the charitable gifts you make to non-profits, then you’ll be able to see contact information, matching ratios, links to forms, and so forth.
If your employer doesn’t show up in the database, be sure to drop by your human resources or charitable giving departments to see if this option still might be available. Also, if you’re married, the company your spouse works for may also match your donation to KJZZ, which could turn your gift of $10 a month into a total of $30 a month!
How do I go about getting my gift to KJZZ matched?
The specifics vary from business to business, but it usually involves filling out and submitting a form or going online to your company’s website. Member Services at KJZZ is here to help you, so if you ever have any questions about the procedure, please get in touch with us by calling (480) 774-8400 or emailing email@example.com. We’ll do all the hard work for you! And if you’ve already made a donation in the past year, you may be able to get a matching gift after the fact from your employer for up to 12 months later.
