New Birth Certificates Required for Puerto Ricans
Many of the 30-thousand Puerto Ricans living in Arizona will have to get a new birth certificate starting July first. The Puerto Rican legislature passed a law in December directing that new birth certificates be created for people born on the island. The law was enacted as an effort to stop the spread of identity theft.
