Our Wine Action Needs You!
First Press Fine Wine Auction is scheduled for November 1st & 2nd and will again include gourmet dining, fine wine, live entertainment, as well as the silent and live auctions of rare and collectible wines and of wine-related and luxury-related items. Last September, in its inaugural year, the First Press Fine Wine Auction netted over $100,000 on behalf of the stations, but we want this year’s black-tie gala to be even better! Here’s how you can be a part of that success:
Our volunteer steering committee is looking for donations for the silent auction that will attract the discriminating buyers who will attend this event. Do you know of (or own!) a fine restaurant, a high-end resort, or even a unique but classy getaway place? Perhaps you have an "in" with a custom jeweler, a clothier, or maybe even a craftsperson who makes wine racks. (One of our potential donors is a pilot who may donate a private jet trip to
The First Press silent auction distinguished itself last year with unusual and one-of-a-kind packages not found at the typical fundraiser event – and we’d like to carry on that tradition.
