Troy Pottgen is a pretty good husband, dad and Phoenix-based copywriter. People trust him. Kids relate to him. He claims to watch 100 movies and read 100 books a year. Between being invisible or fluent in every language, he chooses invisibility. And yes, he knows it’s far less useful and far more trivial, but that’s his choice and he’s sticking with it. Troy loves to laugh and often lies for fun. People tell him he could be in politics.
He says NPR "stirs" his mind, and Catholic guilt inspires his writing. He is not as humble as he thinks he should be. Troy hates being comfortable. He feels a talent not shared with others is, like, the saddest thing ever. He wishes every person who can, would give time to Big Brothers/Big Sisters and money to “Camp to Belong,” which reunites siblings separated by foster care. He knows this is just his opinion and encourages you to "do your own thing." If you ever approach him and say, "Hey Troy, I like monkeys," he’ll probably buy you a coffee.
Troy found writing this bio in third-person to be incredibly therapeutic, though would not say why when asked. He is amazed that you are still reading this and thanks you for caring enough to stay to the end.
