KJZZ commentator Rich Kenney lives in Youngtown, AZ. He has a master’s degree in social work (MSW) from the University of Texas, and currently is the community relations coordinator at the Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix.
He is a recipient of a Creative Writing Fellowship in Poetry from the Arizona Commission on the Arts. His poetry has recently been published in Penumbra, Harpur Palate and the Country Mouse (online). A former columnist for the Daily News Sun in Sun City, he now writes newspaper articles and essays for the Arizona Republic.
He enjoys photography and hiking in the White Tank Mountains west of Phoenix. His prescription for writer’s block is a good game of chess.
