Holocaust Remembrance Day
It's Holocaust Remembrance Day. Commentator Deborah Sussman Susser's father survived the Holocaust. He arrivevd in the U.S. at the age of 17 and made a life for himself as an American. He married a woman who did not share his background. And toward the end of his life, he began to wonder whether he had instilled a strong enough sense of Jewish identity in his children. Deborah says, though only her father was Jewish, both parents gave her the identity she has today.
