Why a magazine ranking shouldn’t determine where you go to college.
In KJZZ's ongoing series 'Inside Arizona Classrooms,' we dive into the world of public education in Arizona to follow three teachers through this school year. One is on her 15th year of teaching an English Language Learner kindergarten class in rural Buckeye, another navigates a second grade classroom in another school district. Finally, a first-year teacher in the Northwest Valley finds growth and difficulty in managing work/life balance. All find joy in teaching, but as Arizona continues to rank among the last in the nation for public education funding, each encompass the challenges most teachers see across the state.
