National Geographic Photographer Shares Bear Dangers
National Geographic’s Paul Nicklen has the same challenges as any other photographer. He has to have the right equipment and find the best light and bring his pictures into focus, but his challenges are compounded by being underwater and working in harsh environments.
Four years ago, Nicklen joined me to talk about his book polar obsession. He was back with us on Wednesday as he was in the Valley for a presentation at the Mesa Arts Center as part of the National Geographic Live speakers series. His latest coffee table book is called "Bear: Spirit of the Wild."
