Gov. Jan Brewer To Lead Delegation To Taiwan
Gov. Jan Brewer will lead a trade delegation to Taiwan this week. This follows a similar to trip to India in August.
Representatives from the Arizona Commerce Authority, Chamber of Commerce and Office of Tourism will also be on the trip.
The governor’s office said the delegation’s focus will be to “identify and foster import and export opportunities with Taiwan, boost existing trade and government relations and showcase Arizona as a premier location in which to invest and do business.”
Taiwan is the state’s 13th biggest trade partner. The governor’s office said last year Arizona exported more than $200 million in goods and products to the country and imported more than $500 million worth of products.
The delegation is scheduled to leave Arizona for Taiwan on Thursday.
