The longest ski season in Arizona Snowbowl’s history comes to an end this weekend.

In its more than 80-year history, Rob Linde with the park says they’ve never made it this close to Memorial Day.

“Isn’t that crazy! This is the longest season ever for Arizona Snowbowl, and yes, we were able to make it into the third week of May and still the skiing is really good,” Linde said.

Snowbowl recorded more than 340 inches of snow this season.

Linde says it’s left a 50-inch base of snow and 40 percent of the terrain open through Sunday.

After skiing operations close down, the resort will remain open through the summer for other activity.
