Shortly after Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey repealed the ban on nunchucks, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich took out his own pair to share his skills on social media.

That move has Brnovich facing some blowback.

The Republican posted the clip of himself on Twitter mastering a pair of nunchucks he pulled out of storage on Monday — three days after the Ducey signed a bill allowing Arizonans to own the weapon.

Some Twitter users noted the repeal bill signed by GOP Gov. Doug Ducey on Friday doesn't take effect until 90 days after the Legislature adjourns, and lawmakers are still in session.

Some also noted he did it in his office — a public building where weapons are generally banned.

Under the current law, possessing nunchucks is a felony carrying up to 2.5 years prison.

A spokesperson for Brnovich says that law does not include demonstrations.
