Health officials around the Valley and state are preparing for the influx of visitors for the Super Bowl and Phoenix Open, among other events and we’ll bring you a few perspectives today, starting with Joan Ivaska, senior director of infection prevention at Banner Health, and Caryn Staib, Banner’s emergency management director.

We also talked to Doctor Bob England, the director of the Maricopa County Department of Public Health.

It’s not just health officials that are thinking about the influx of visitors, safety and security are also concerns.
