Phoenix Suns owner Robert Sarver recently attempted to buy European Soccer team the Glasgow Rangers.

Sarver isn’t the first American owner to try and extend his sports franchise across the pond. Denver Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke owns part of Arsenal in London and The Boston Red Sox owners have a controlling stake in Liverpool.
