Facebook’s dominance in the tech industry hit some significant bumps in the recent past — most publicly, during the 2016 presidential election and how the platform was used to influence voters, at times, with misinformation.

That has led to growing distrust of Facebook and some movement by Congress to call the company’s leaders to testify and consider new regulations.

Longtime tech venture capitalist Roger McNamee knew Mark Zuckerberg almost from the beginning of Facebook and was a self-proclaimed "cheerleader."

That changed just a couple of years ago, and McNamee has written about his disenchantment in the book "Zucked: Waking Up to the Facebook Catastrophe."

He joined The Show to talk about his history with the tech company and Zuckerberg himself.
