A new dock and boathouses will be coming to Scorpion Bay Marina in Lake Pleasant. However, the dock will not be open to the public.

Clint Hickman, a Maricopa County supervisor, says the dock will serve as a place for the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Arizona Game and Fish Department.

“We’re going to have a new dock, and put those facilities a little bit further away from the entertainment area, but be ready to go in case anything ever happens out there," said Hickman.

The price of the dock will be split between Maricopa County and the Arizona Game and Fish Department. A specific construction date has not yet been set.
