New Federal Racial Profiling Guidance May Fall Short

We’ve been hearing a lot about new federal racial profiling guidance released by the Department of Justice this past week.

In many ways, the guidance does more to prevent federal law enforcement from profiling based on factors like race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity or religion, but there are exceptions. Namely, the guidance doesn’t apply to border enforcement.
