Gila River Indian Community No Longer Backing Drought Contingency Plan

The Drought Contingency Plan, approved by lawmakers and signed by Gov. Doug Ducey in January, could be in trouble.

The Gila River Indian Community said it will not ratify the plan over concerns about another piece of legislation dealing with the tribe’s right to the Gila River water.
