A panel of city employees and Phoenix Suns' representatives answered questions from the public during a meeting at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Jan. 5, 2019.

Over the weekend, the city of Phoenix held the first of five meetings to gather public input on its proposed deal with the Suns to renovate the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The public outreach comes after a backlash from residents who felt the deal was made in secret with limited information shared with the public.

KJZZ’s Christina Estes attended Saturday’s meeting and joined The Show to talk about it.

This first meeting took place downtown at Talking Stick Resort Arena.
