When you think of an environmentalist, do you picture a certain type of person? According to a new survey, most Americans think of environmentalists as white, well-educated and middle class.

But that same survey raises questions about what types of people actually care about the environment.

Rainer Romero-Canyas is a social and behavioral scientist with the Environmental Defense Fund, and he co-authored this report. The Show spoke with him more about it.
