A new survey commissioned by AARP talked to Baby Boomers, Gen Xers and Millennials about their attitudes when it comes to voting, student loan debt and social security. 

It's heard during every election: young people don’t vote. Of the more than 1,600 millennials surveyed, slightly more than half said they’d vote in the midterms.

But when it comes to something like social security, millennials have higher expectations.Dana Marie Kennedy is with AARP Arizona…

"And millennials — 78 percent — thought it was important and should be there when they retire," said Dana Marie Kennedy is with AARP Arizona.

The poll also found student loan debt was a heavy burden for Millennials, as 36 percent said they still had debt to pay off. Also, 19 percent of Gen Xers and 4 percent of Boomers said they still owed money for their education.
