The debate over what Phoenix should be and whether it is welcoming enough to the creative class seems to be heating up lately. On this program, we touched on it in the spring with dueling essays from Taz Loomans who left Phoenix for Portland and Robrt Pela who has lived in Phoenix for 50 years.

Lindsay Kinkade, an experimental urbanist and strategic futurist, and Sarah Sullivan, a theatre artist and educator, broadened the discussion. Kinkade and Sullivan will be presenting Thursday at 7 p.m. at Brat Haus in Scottsdale as part of the event “Why Young Leaders Are Breaking Up With Phoenix.” The event is being presented by Emerging Arts Leaders Phoenix.
