The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation department lifted all fire bans Friday morning so visitors can again use campfires, fire pits and charcoal grills.

Expecting an extremely dry and hot summer, county officials implemented the ban in May and it affected all eleven Maricopa County Parks: Lake Pleasant Regional Park, White Tank Mountain Regional Park, Adobe Dam Regional Park, Buckeye Hills Regional Park, Estrella Mountain Regional Park, San Tan Mountain Regional Park, Usery Mountain Regional Park, McDowell Mountain Regional Park, Cave Creek Regional Park, Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area, and Hassayampa River Preserve.

State-owned lands across Arizona were also closed over the summer but those state parks are now open and all fire restrictions have been lifted.
