Talking Stick Resort remains closed two weeks after guests were evacuated during a storm and no reopening date has been set.

In a new statement, sent Friday night, resort officials said repairs are ongoing after storms caused flooding and a power outage on the property.

The backup power generating equipment, administrative offices and cafe on the lower level are being restored.  The casino floor, poker room, and concert venues are located on the upper levels and were not damaged.

The statement reads:

"As these efforts continue, Talking Stick Resort is communicating directly with impacted hotel and casino guests, and employees. We appreciate the ongoing patience and support we have received and apologize for the disruption guests and employees have experienced."

According to the release, nearly 300 employees and personnel from outside agencies have been working to make the necessary repairs.
