After 23 years on death row in Arizona, a Tucson man named Barry Jones just saw his conviction thrown out, which is very rare. Now, the state must decide if it will retry him or release him.

All along, Jones has maintained his innocence, but it’s been a long road to the judge’s order, which called his 1995 trial a “rush to judgment” by law enforcement.

Liliana Segura with The Intercept has been covering all of the twists and turns in this case for years, and she joined The Show to talk about man at the center of this — Barry Jones.
