Screaming Pit Bull From Flagstaff Gains Internet Fame
Mo the Screaming Staffy from Flagstaff has been propelled to internet fame because of his comedically high-pitched wails. But there's nothing wrong with the dog — he just screams.
It's a sound the Staffordshire Bull Terrier — better known as a pit bull — makes sometimes, according to his owner, Kristin Allen.
This screaming has gathered an online following. Last week, "Mo the Screaming Staffy" had about 700 followers on Instagram. (Yes, he has his own Instagram account.)
Now, he has more than 50,000. Videos of Mo screaming like a person have gone viral, and now Allen is getting calls from media — and other pit bull owners — all over the world.
But, Allen told The Show, Mo’s been doing this since she first found him, when he literally wandered into her life one night.
So she took him to Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, where they held him for 72 hours, just in case his owners were looking for him. When no one came, she took him home with her. And it all happened right when she really needed it in her life.
