Rep. Paul Mosley.

The House Ethics Committee on Thursday received a copy of a complaint about state Rep. Paul Mosley, a Republican from Lake Havasu City.

Fellow House Republican, Rep. Mark Finchem, filed the ethics complaint which references a body camera video showing Mosley bragging to a La Paz County deputy that he sometimes drives as fast as 140 mph.

In the video, released by KLPZ in early July, Mosley also tells the deputy not to give him a ticket because the Legislature was in session, so he has legislative immunity. 

Gov. Doug Ducey later signed an executive order saying that drunk driving, reckless driving and criminal speeding should no longer be covered under legislative immunity.

Mosley apologized on Facebook after the video came out. He said his comments were inappropriate and in bad judgment.
