It’s been a stormy few days for the Phoenix area and those rains aren’t going to stop any time soon.

Andrew Deemer is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. He says there’s a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain this weekend.

“And with any of these storms just like we’ve seen, you know gonna have strong winds, heavy downpours and even some blowing dust," Deemer said. "But I think what folks actually might be most excited about is looking at Sunday — we might actually have some really cool temperatures, you know, maybe even below 100 degrees for the Phoenix area.”

Deemer said high humidity and lower temperatures are expected heading into the work week.

"The humidity isn't going anywhere any time soon," he said. "So I guess we'll feel like Florida for a little bit longer."
