Highest Low Temperature On Record For July 6
The low temperature in Phoenix this morning was 94 degrees. Mark O'Malley with the National Weather Service said if that holds through midnight, it will set a record for the warmest low temperature on record for July 6.
"Morning lows in the Phoenix metro will probably remain into the upper 80s to lower 90s," O'Malley said. "So we’ll be flirting with these warm low temperature records for the next couple mornings until we finally can get some rain and cooler air into central Arizona.”
He said Sunday could bring strong winds, dust and possibly even rain to the Phoenix metro area.
