If you go to Phoenix Sky Harbor airport to pick up passengers, there are some changes you need to know about for your next visit.

The east cellphone parking lot has been moved from its previous location near Terminal 4 to a new one on the northeast side of the airport.

The cellphone lots are used for people picking up passengers. Drivers can park in the lots until flyers arrive at Sky Harbor.

Heather Lissner, a spokeswoman for Sky Harbor explained why the lot was moved.

“This was done in an effort to reduce traffic congestion and the new lot, is slightly larger and it won’t back up near Terminal 4. It’s just a short drive to Terminal 4," Lissner said. "It’s easy for travelers to wait in the cell phone lot and come pick up their party."

This is one of three cellphone lots at the airport and signs have been put up to direct cars to the new location.
