As school closures continue this week, organizations are stepping up to provide meals to students who aren’t in class. St. Mary’s Food Bank has joined the list of those offering food.

Beginning Tuesday, St. Mary’s Food Bank will take to the streets with “Operation Meal Kit.” The organization will ramp up its kids meal program by 25 percent and offer emergency food boxes. Kits including peanut butter, jelly, bread and cereal will be handed out from 2 to 6 p.m.

Pick-up locations will be spread throughout the Valley, including sites in Phoenix, Peoria, Avondale and Glendale.
