Phoenix Residents Demand Action On Tree Shade Plan
It’s set to hit 99 degrees in Phoenix this week, a foreboding sign that has some worried about how well the city is prepared for rising temperatures.
As it turns out, the city of Phoenix created a trees and shade plan way back in 2010, but some say not much progress has been made since it was introduced. A group of residents are petitioning the city council to force them to take action.
These residents have formed a committee made up of certified arborists, local business owners, landscape experts and urban planners.
The Show recently sat down with Nicole Rodriguez, one of the residents demanding action from the city.
