A design firm says Phoenix is breaking up with beige.

Whenever I have friends or family come to town to visit, without fail one of the first things they say is how brown the Valley is. And they’re not just talking about the landscape.

But a Phoenix design firm said the area is starting to break up with beige. Christina Johnson is a Partner with Private Label International, which is forecasting pops of color coming to a building near you.

We met in the courtyard of Cabana on Thomas, a Phoenix apartment complex.
