Arizona Climatologists Recommend Extension Of Drought Declaration

Despite a few sprinkles here and there around the Valley on Friday morning, the official rain gauge at Sky Harbor Airport hasn’t seen precipitation since late August.

So it’s probably no surprise that Gov. Doug Ducey’s Drought Interagency Coordinating Group has decided to recommend that Arizona’s drought declaration be extended for another year.

One member of that group is State Climatologist Nancy Selover.
