More Nonprofits Are Changing From 501(c)3 To 501(c)4 Status
The world of nonprofits is undergoing dramatic change, and it isn’t tied to technology. Part of it may be a natural evolution, but the current political climate is also having an effect.
The NAACP, for one, has twice in the last year initiated a major shake-up as part of a promised “systemwide refresh” to try to keep up with the wants and needs of its members. The group has announced it is changing from a 501(c)3 status to a 501(c)4.
