It’s been nearly a week since Harvey made landfall in Texas. At least two major pipelines have been slowed or stopped because of flooding and damage as a result of the storm.

In some parts of the country, gas prices rose at least 15 cents in 24 hours. But, Michelle Donati with AAA in Arizona, says we’re lucky. Our average gas prices here only rose 2 cents in the last 24 hours.

“Arizona right now is in a really good position. We are in the top 10 states with the smallest week-over-week price change. And we’re also one of the lowest paying states for fuel right now," Donati said.

Right now, Arizona is averaging $2.31 a gallon. The National average is $2.52.

Donati does say prices could still rise, but it won’t be caused by issues at Texas oil refineries. Prices typically go up right before three-day weekends.
