An aid camp in southern Arizona once gave medical care to migrants on their journey across the border. Now it's been shut down.
Arizona Storytellers: Chef Aaron May
KJZZ is partnering with the Arizona Republic to bring you the Arizona Storytellers project on the radio. Storytellers in Phoenix share their stories at live events in town. Some of the stories are about living here, some are not.
Chef Aaron May is from Chicago. He went to culinary school in Paris and later became a cook in New York City and loved his life.
Then he fell in love with a girl from Phoenix and moved to the Valley. The relationship was going well — Phoenix, not so much.
Chef Aaron May runs several restaurants in Phoenix and throughout the West. He travels all the time for his job, but he still calls Phoenix home.
You can hear more stories like this at our next night of live storytelling Oct. 20 at the Farm at South Mountain. Or check out upcoming nights and learn how to get involved by telling your own story, and see photos and a wrap-up of the event at storytellers.AZCentral.com.
