Here’s a look at the new additions:
Here and Now (Weekdays, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.) Robin Young and Jeremy Hobson host this newly formatted NPR show, which includes more KJZZ news about the ways national events affect Arizonans. Steve Goldstein hosts a local edition of the show on Wed. at 11, followed by a live hour of news from the national team.
The Show (Friday, 2 – 3 p.m.) KJZZ veteran reporters Mark Brodie and Steve Goldstein host this original KJZZ production with help from The Takeaway team and several other public radio reporters and hosts across the country. It’s a mix of local and national content with an emphasis on how the news affects Arizonans.
TED Radio Hour (Saturday, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.) This dynamic show expands upon discussions from the renowned TED Talks, where some of the world’s most profound thinkers and innovators are invited to give the “talk of their lives.”
Ask Me Another (Saturday, 1 – 2 p.m.) Comedian and storyteller Ophira Eisenberg hosts this lively hour of word games, puzzles and trivia played in front of and with a live audience. Listeners of the show can play along and test their knowledge of geography, literature, history, grammar, pop culture and more.
Radiolab (Saturday, 3 - 4 p.m.) Talk about a workout for your brain! Radiolab is a show for the curious-- where sound illuminates ideas and the boundaries blur between science, philosophy and the human experience.
