Reward For Information On Javelina Poaching

October 01, 2013

Arizona Game and Fish is offering up to $1,000 in reward money for information leading to an arrest in a javelina poaching incident over the weekend in the mountains west of Tucson. Spokesman Mark Hart said the animal was killed with a bow and arrow. Arrows are typically used for archery target practice, not hunting.

Hart said anyone with information can anonymously call Operation Game Thief at 1-800-352-0700.  And, he said if javelinas are posing a nuisance they can be scared off with a garden hose or any kind of loud noise, like banging pots and pans together.
