Raid At Phoenix Janitorial Business Results In 20 Arrests For Identity Theft

October 01, 2013

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 20 more workers at a Phoenix janitorial business for identity theft. Sheriff Joe Arpaio said deputies conducted the raid at Proserve, the same company it raided in August, arresting four suspects for stealing IDs. Arpaio said the illegal acts are especially troubling because of the size of the company.

“This company is a large company, employs over 300 people,” Arpaio says. “ It’s a cleaning service that have financial and other businesses that they do business with.”

Arpaio says some of the suspects used the false IDs to buy homes, cars and to open credit card accounts, and he said 23 of the 24 people arrested in the two raids are in the U.S. illegally.
