The U.S. Senate is likely to vote as soon as today on whether to debate a bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act — or to just repeal it outright.

Before he makes his decision, Sen. Jeff Flake said he wants to ensure his state has the money and tools needed to take care of the more than 400,000 residents who rely on Medicaid Expansion as part of the ACA.

“Over time, we’ve got to get on a sustainable footing. But this has to do with with two things; one the rates going forward and the flexibility that governors have to deal with it," Flake said.

Flake said his vote depends on whether the health care "repeal and replace" legislation can help those on the exchanges in Arizona with more choices and lower premiums.
