Valley officials are continuing to press the NCAA to choose Phoenix as the site of its men’s basketball championship later this decade.

They’ll be in Indianapolis in November to make a presentation to the full committee and ASU’s Senior Associate Athletic Director Dawn Rogers said they made a good impression during lat week’s visit by the site selection committee.

“Our community has come together and is so collaborative and cohesive, so I have a very strong feeling that we’re going to be successful during this bid cycle," Rogers said.

Rogers believes the odds of getting the championship are better than 50-50.  She said metro-Phoenix stacks up well against its primary competition, Atlanta, New Orleans, north Texas and San Antonio.
