Trader Joe's Recalls Granola Products Over Listeria Concerns
Trader Joe's is alerting customers that some of its granola products are potentially contaminated with listeria in 23 states, including Arizona.
The affected Trader Joe's Grainless Granola has best-by dates between March 28 and April 10, 2018. The company has pulled the affected products from the shelves. No illnesses have been reported so far.
Trader Joe's says anyone who purchased the granola should discard the product or return it for a full refund.
Listeria infection can cause headaches, fever, nausea, diarrhea and abdominal pain, according to the CDC. Listeria contamination can be especially dangerous for those with weakened immune systems, children, and the elderly.
