The Pinal Fire burning south of Globe has remained relatively small at 75 acres. The fire has been burning for about a week.

A temporary flight restriction was put into place over the fire Sunday after a drone was seen flying over on Saturday. The restriction will stay in effect until the blaze is put out.

As fire officials work to contain the Pinal fire, the annual fire ban for the Phoenix Desert and Mountain Preserves goes into effect Monday morning. It’s expected to run through mid-October.
