Mesa Elementary School A Model For Rest Of District
Mesa Public Schools will open their doors Wednesday, and one elementary school will serve as a model for the rest of the district’s 55 K-6 schools. Eisenhower Center for Innovation, formerly Eisenhower Elementary, is "integrating" new technology into the classroom according to district spokeswoman Helen Hollands. Hollands said that these tools will be used in the everyday classroom setting for research.
"The students will have iPads, they will be doing one-on-one computing, they will be learning how to take that technology and really increase the learning values at the school," Hollands said.
And if all goes well this year, then other Mesa schools may get iPads phased into their curriculum over the next few years according to Hollands.
