High Schooler Creates Historic Playing Cards
Do you remember what kinds of activities you did in high school? We would be willing to bet they were not anything like what Alexandra Melikian has been doing.
She goes to Phoenix Country Day School and has created a set of playing cards focusing on historic buildings in Phoenix. Now, to be fair, she comes by her interest honestly. Her family owns the San Carlos Hotel downtown.
Alexandra said she wanted to shine a more positive light on preservation. Alexandra and her father Robert talked about the deck of playing cards she has created, each featuring a photo of a historic building in Phoenix. Part of the money she makes from selling the cards goes to historic preservation.
