McCain Calls For Review Of 'Stand Your Ground' Laws
Senator John McCain is calling for a study of 'stand your ground' laws across the country. On CNN's State of the Union, Sunday, McCain was asked if he thought that included the Arizona law.
“Yes, I do,” McCain said. “And I'm confident that members of the Arizona Legislature will, because it is very controversial legislation.”
McCain says he trusts the judgment of the jury in the Trayvon Martin case, believes the verdict that George Zimmerman acted in self defense was correct. But, he says he can see why some African-Americans may feel the verdict was wrong.
