Recent Storms In California Will Help With State's Drought

California has been getting pelted by precipitation in recent days.

In Southern California, steady rain has been falling, while a blizzard hit the northern part of the state. And a rare blizzard warning for the Sierra Nevada was in effect on Wednesday after dumping several feet of snow around Lake Tahoe.

Those storms won’t bring California’s drought to a close, but they do help. To learn more, we spoke with Brian Fuchs of the National Drought Mitigation Center in Lincoln, Neb.
