Three years after the earthquake and tsunami in Fukushima, Japan destroyed a nuclear power plant, the effects are still being measured.
Prescott Bluegrass Festival still scheduled, despite Doce Fire
The Prescott Bluegrass Festival is still scheduled to begin Saturday. The Doce fire has not cancelled the event. Even though the fire continues to burn, the Chamber of Commerce said there is no smoke downtown, and all roads are still open.
Hotels in the area have not had any cancellations due to the fire. In fact, firefighters and emergency personnel are filling up many available rooms.
This is the 32nd year of the Prescott Bluegrass Festival.
